Implementation of Online Monitoring of Heating Motor Houses in the Dormitory Complex of Tehran University
The first phase of smartening and online monitoring of heating houses of dormitories of the University of Tehran was done by by Pishran Energy ESCO Company with the support of the EEEB project, in 34 heating engines of dormitory buildings of Koi Daneshgah, Fatemieh, Chamran in January 2021.
In the past, these motorhomes were controlled by mechanical thermostats of boilers in a constant temperature range and with a significant increase or decrease air temperature; the thermostat setting temperature was adjusted by the facility staff visiting the engine room in person.
With the help of these systems, the operation of all burners and pumps is intelligently controlled in accordance with changes in outside air temperature, which in addition to reducing energy consumption and depreciation of mechanical equipment, has also provided thermal comfort.
Also, with the help of intelligent control systems and monitoring the performance of heating installations, it is possible to analyze the information sent from the sensors and identify problems, which in most cases will be resolved without a face-to-face visit and in the shortest time.
It is estimated that with the help of these solutions, it will be possible to save about ten to 15 percent in the gas consumption of the complex, which will be about 400,000 cubic meters per year.
