Delivery of equipment related to energy audit and measurement and validation to Sharif University of Technology
The Energy Efficiency and Environment in Buildings project (EEEB) in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and coordination of the Vice President for Science and Technology has delivered the first batch of purchased equipment related to energy auditing and M&V to the energy faculty of Sharif University of Technology.
One of EEEB goals is to establish national Measurement and Validation centers (M&V) to enhance the capacity of this field and improve the results of this sector. Accordingly, the EEEB project identified the most up-to-date tools and equipment related to the field of energy auditing and M&V and prepared a list of 20 of this equipment along with its technical specifications. The first part of this equipment was prepared and collected in cooperation with UNDP and coordination with the Vice President for Science and Technology.
As ordered by Dr. Sattari (Vice President for Science and Technology), the equipment was delivered to the Sharif University of Technology in November 2021 after the legal formalities. The purpose is to improve the quality of education in the field of energy services and to set up more M&V centers for energy efficiency in the building sector. It is hoped that with the expansion of these centers and the use of the provided equipment, in both sectors of education and execution, the quantitative and qualitative level of energy efficiency in the country will be improved.
