Development of Energy Efficiency Market by Implementing the Pilot of Energy Efficiency Solutions in Buildings

Implementing the Pilot of Energy Efficiency Solutions in Buildings will develop the energy efficiency market and businesses. According to the Communication and Information in a technical workshop on exchanging international experiences of ESCOs’ business models,Mahdi Shakouri, Deputy of National Project Manager of “EEEB Project, stated: “This workshop aims to exchange the international experiences of developed and developing countries and applying it in our Project where it is feasible.”

"In the second component of the EEEBProject, the main agenda is implementation of the Pilot of Energy Efficiency Solutions in Buildings based on the business model of ESCOs. Pilot implementation of EE solutions will create a stream to develop and promote efficient use of energy, based on the applied model in pilot projects. “He continued.

 Dr. Vatani, National Project Director, stressed that delivering such technical events and workshops are necessary and stated: "Regarding that field of energy efficiency is the main part of ESCOs’ job, they should make all efforts in order to achieve the desired results”. Having this, it is essential that ESCOs would cooperate instead of competition and exchange their knowledge and experience in order to achieve the main goal of these pilot projects; energy efficiency.”

Vatani also suggested continuing to hold technical events and gathering and stated: "Each ESCO should consider a topic for each meeting and review it with other colleagues”.

Mr. Dirk Schwede, International Consultant of the EEEB Project, elaborated his speech on his experience with Germany in the field of energy efficiency. He presented success stories and best practices of similar projects in EU countries, including Italy, Portugal and Greece and describing the role of ESCOs and public sector support in shaping the energy efficiency market.

 Next, the developed model for implementing of pilot projects was presented to the participants.

The Technical Workshop on Exchanging International Experiences of Business Model of ESCOs was held with the aim of developing the energy efficiency market in line with the Projects’ targets and objectives in the presence of representatives and officials of the public sector and ESCOs.
